In one of my recent submissions, I said that there was a reason why learning how to do cartonnage was so important. It's certainly a long way from doing digital art, which is why I joined Deviant Art in the first place in 2013. My life has improved dramatically since I first joined, and in many ways, my lifestyle is very different as well. In any case, am finally well on my way to having a real designed home, with specific aesthetics and designs in mind. In the process of trying to find neat looking things that go with the furniture, I discovered my interest in late 18th century vintage design. This aesthetic goes really well with my furniture, but to buy it outright is crazy expensive. So I decided to offset the main cost and make a lot of things myself. It's been an interesting road, and this project has just started. It's fun sometimes, but I am not a professional artist, so there are times when I want to tear my hair out and throw things.
